Dr. Babak Ataei Mehr

Dr. Babak Ataei Mehr is a distinguished Interdisciplinary Scientist with dual PhDs from the University of Tehran in Iran and Western University in Canada, with over a decade of expertise in research, education, and mentorship.
His groundbreaking
contributions to biomedical sciences have advanced therapeutic platforms for chronic diseases, including Type 1 diabetes and thyroid deficiency, through innovative cell therapies and regenerative medicine. Additionally, he has conducted extensive research into neural circuit mechanisms of social behaviour, contributing to a deeper understanding of behavioural neuroscience.

Certified in Clinical Trial Design, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Translational Science Specialization, and Learning and Development (L&D), Dr. Ataei Mehr exemplifies a steadfast commitment to excellence in both research and education. As an academic instructor during a significant part of his career, Dr. Ataei Mehr has been recognized for his proficiency in curriculum design, innovative teaching strategies, student engagement techniques, and assessment methods that enhance learning outcomes. He has been acknowledged for his exceptional teaching skills, receiving the Award of Excellence in Teaching from Azad University in Iran and being nominated for the Graduate Student Teaching Assistant Award by the Society of Graduate Students at Western University during his academic career.
