Dr. Rasaq Ojasanya

Rasaq is a PhD candidate in Veterinary Epidemiology at the Ontario Veterinary College, within the Department of Population Medicine at the University of Guelph, Canada. He obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta in Nigeria. Additionally, he holds a Master of Science in Veterinary Epidemiology from the Atlantic Veterinary College, University of Prince Edward Island, Canada. Previously, he worked with the Government of Prince Edward Island's Chief Public Health Office within the Department of Health and Wellness, specifically in the Population Health Assessment & Surveillance unit as a Public Health Epidemiologist. Rasaq has coordinated and facilitated multiple global health courses, including economic evaluation, monitoring and evaluation, epidemiology, leadership, and project management.

Rasaq is deeply passionate about STEM education because it empowers students to think critically, solve problems, and innovate in ways that shape the world. His teaching philosophy fosters curiosity and engagement, creating an inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore, ask questions, and develop a lifelong love for discovery. By connecting theoretical concepts to real-world applications, he aims to inspire students to see the transformative potential of STEM in addressing global challenges.
