This course provides an in-depth study of the gastrointestinal (GI) system, focusing on the anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the digestive tract and associated organs. Students will explore the processes involved in digestion, nutrient absorption, and waste elimination, as well as common GI disorders. Topics: Overview of the gastrointestinal system, anatomical terminology, body organization, swallowing, digestion, enzymatic digestion.
